 Pillars of Strength

Leo & Betty Patino

Elders of the Church

Two amazing people have been a part of FIW from the very beginning. When the Lord called Bishop Lano to start FIW Church in 2004, it was Betty and Leo who stepped up and stepped in to help. Their role at FIW has instilled in our team a humble but strong heart for the Lord.

Their lives are an example of the love that God offers to each of us. They accept every person they meet with open arms, and they are always supportive of the people of God.  Leo and Betty, better known as Mom and Dad, are a vital part of the ministry. Their endurance and perseverance comes from their passion to serve the Lord, which means there is no job too small or too big for them. For many years, they would load their truck with igloos, tents, heaters, table and even a huge smoker to ensure the church had all the supplies it needed to conduct its outdoor services. They have also served in ministry roles, including as members of the church’s Board of Directors.

Their selfless acts are a constant example of what it means to be Christ-Like. Their leadership, strength and wisdom continues to be a pillar of strength for FIW Church.
